Beijing (ZXZC)- In the seventh month of 2022, China’s new energy vehicle startup Leapmotor saw its monthly delivery volume climb to a new high level.

In July, Leapmotor delivered 12,044 vehicles, surging 177% year over year. Notably, this marked the third consecutive month for the company to outsell itself both month on month and year on year. In May and June, Leapmotor’s deliveries have already topped itself successively, and it refreshed the record again in July with a 6.97% increase month over month.

In the first seven months of the year, the cumulative delivery volume of the startup summed up to 64,038 vehicles, representing a 267% soar from the same span last year.

According to data quoted by Leapmotor citing an auto insurance agency, the company’s proprietary electrical drive system made it the No.9 company in China by Jan.-Jun. installed capacity, skyrocketing 242% year over year.

Up to now, the auto startup has filed for 147 patents for electrical drive systems, 91 of which were invention patents. 

The automaker’s latest vehicle model, the C01, is able to churn out a maximum torque of 360N·m and a rev of 16,000rpm. The high-performance dual-motor trim of the C01 can output up to 400kW with a 720N·m peak torque.
