Dongfeng AEOLUS July sales hit new high

Beijing (ZXZC)- In July, Dongfeng Motor Group’s wholly-owned brand, AEOLUS (Fengshen), refreshed its historic same-month sales record.

In the past month, AEOLUS sold 14,918 vehicles, surging 46% from a year ago. 

The automaker attributed the growing sales volume to its rich product portfolio and the special discount policy it issued in addition to China’s national purchase tax cut. AEOLUS buyers are entitled to a "zero purchase tax” promotion. 

On May 22nd, the auto brand kicked off blind presale of the Haoji SUV model which is also the first SUV model to be powered by Dongfeng Motor’s Mach (Mahe in Chinese) dual-motor hybrid system. Starting from RMB126,900 ($18,780), the model received 10,461 orders in the first 24 hours after the presale started. 

AEOLUS’ business-oriented new energy vehicle model, the E70, has seen a continuous year-on-year growth in sales for seven consecutive months so far. In July, the automaker sold 7,377 E70s, resulting in a cumulative volume of 33,777 vehicles for the first seven months of 2022.
