In August, XPeng plans to begin accepting reservations for its G9 SUV. The flagship model will formally hit the market in Sept. 2022 with its deliveries soon kicking off afterwards.

Unveiled at the Auto Guangzhou 2021, the G9 is XPeng's first model developed with international markets in mind right from the start. Positioned as a full-sized all-electric SUV, the model measures 4,891mm long, 1,937mm wide, 1,680/1,670mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,998mm.

He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of XPeng, previously revealed that the G9 carried a double-chamber air suspension system, which is usually used in luxury cars priced around 1 million yuan ($148,190). The air suspension can be very “smart” as it is capable of active adjustment thanks to the sensing hardware and HD map, which can predict road conditions.
