The chairman said that just four years ago, XPeng also rented a trial production factory similar to this in size, but with different techniques and equipment. For example, the seven carbon-fiber-dedicated autoclaves working under atmospheric pressure were rarely used in automaking techniques.
Earlier this month, He Xiaopeng posted another Weibo feed demonstrating a 0-100km/h acceleration field test video of the Voyager X2 flying car from XPENG AEROHT. To which the chairman commented that the UAM flies with extreme precision, offering gaming-like commanding experience in acceleration, emergency breaking, maneuvering, and accurate control.
Notably, on June 30th, XPENG AEROHT announced the completion of its Series A financing round, raising over $500 million in total. IDG Capital, 5Y Capital, and XPeng Inc. were the leading investors of the round. Other participants of the round include Sequoia China, Eastern bell Capital, GGV Capital, Hillhouse Capital, and Yunfeng Group.
The company said that this marked the single largest investment round in the Asian urban air mobility field.
