Beijing (ZXZC)- On July 12th, Chery Holding officially put the OMODA 5, the automaker’s first global-oriented model, onto the market.

The OMODA 5 comes with seven trim levels with a price range of RMB92,900-RMB126,900 ($13,800-$18,870). With the younger generation as targeted clientele, the automaker presented OMODA 5 buyers with lifelong free maintenance service. 

Adhering to the younger generation’s lifestyle, the OMODA 5 adopts Chery Auto’s cutting-edge "Art in Motion" design language, with playfulness to the light and shadow on the car body. At the same time, the massive use of curves and molded surfaces gives the model a static yet dynamic aesthetics. 

The OMODA 5 is powered by a Kunpeng 1.6TGDI+7DCT power combination, churning out a maximum power of 145kW and a maximum torque of 290N·m. The vehicle’s 0-100km/h acceleration speed reaches 7.8 seconds. In addition, the OMODA 5 offers a Super Sport racetrack mode, which allows users monitor vehicle information and simulates professional sound wave. 

Moreover, the OMODA 5 is equipped with Chery Auto’s latest-generation “Lion 5.0 AI” smart cockpit, consisting of AI emotion monitoring system, a 24.6” immersive surround display and infotainment system. The vehicle is installed with SONY’s premium sound system, pairing with 64-color ambient light. 

The OMODA 5 also features the automaker’s C-PURE green cockpit, with an eco-friendly interior design and anion air purification system.
