XPeng G9 to hit market in Q3, deliver in Q4 this year
Beijing (ZXZC)- XPeng’s fourth production model, the greatly anticipated G9, will officially hit the market in the third quarter of this year, and might be able to kick off delivery in the fourth quarter.
The G9 first came out to the public at the 2021 Auto Guangzhou, positioned as XPeng's first production model designed for both the Chinese and international markets, and also the second SUV model across XPeng’s lineup.
Earlier, local reports believed that the presale of the G9 would start in April at the Auto China 2022, and kick off small-scale delivery in the second quarter of this year. However, both schedules were postponed due to external circumstances.
In April, XPeng disclosed via its WeChat account that the company planned to unveil more details about the G9 in June this year.
The G9 inherits XPeng’s signature design language, the X Robot Face and light sabers. The new four-wheel-drive SUV is equipped with duo electric motors, a smart air suspension, and 5D immersive system.
The G9 will also be XPeng's first model armed with the XPILOT 4.0 all-scenario ADAS suite. Meanwhile, the SUV will ride on XPeng's new X-EEA 3.0 architecture.
