When approached with the matter, JIDU responded that the former vice president left the office for personal reasons.
Zhu Jiang joined JIDU in November 2021 and was appointed as vice president and head of user development and operation. His goal was to build JIDU’s market system from scratch, including marketing business, sales channels, and aftermarkets.
Prior to his addition to JIDU, Zhu Jiang once served in Ford China, NIO, Lexus, and BMW China. He was the vice president of user development of NIO. During his time in Ford China since June 1st, 2020, Zhu Jiang was the head of the Mach-E project, in charge of the market, public relations, sales, service, and customer experience aspects of the Mach-E.
Notably, on June 8th, JIDU is hosting a product launch, ROBODAY, in the metaverse that Baidu created. The event will showcase the concept vehicle of JIDU’s first production model, the ROBO-01 automotive robot.
