The C01 is the fourth production model, and the second sedan model of the company. The C01 is positioned as a full size coupe, built on Leapmotor’s C architecture like the C11 SUV. The model is powered by Leapmotor’s exclusive CTC (cell-to-chassis) technology, which eliminates battery packs by integrating batteries with the chassis. The C01 is equipped with a 90kWh power battery, allowing a CLTC range of 717km.
According to Leapmotor, a 717km range means that for users whose daily commute is 40km only two charging sessions per month are needed.
The CTC technology frees up 5% of the C01’s weight, allowing a 0.226Cd low wind drag. Pairing the light weight design with a streamline profile, the C01 can run from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds.
Moreover, the C01 features an interchangeable oil-cooling electric drive architecture, with a maximum output of 400kW. The batteries are managed by a big data AI smart management system, prolonging the batteries’ life cycle while transforming more energy into driving mileages.
