As same as its previous price increases, Great Wall Motor explained that the adjustments this time are also results of the price hike in raw materials, chips, and core component parts. The price increment will come to effect on April 15th, leaving a three-day grace period for potential consumers.

Specifically, the Macchiato DHT and the Latte DHT will see an RMB10,000 ($1,571) increase, to an adjusted price of RMB155,800-RMB169,800 ($24,470-$26,668) and RMB169,800-RMB189,800 ($26,668-$29,809), respectively. Meanwhile, the price of the Macchiato DHT-PHEV will increase by RMB12,000 ($1,885), resulting in an adjusted price of RMB178,800-RMB189,800 ($28,082-$29,809).

As to the Mocha series, the Mocha 2.0T will see an RMB5,000 ($785) increase, to RMB192,800-RMB228,800 ($30,281-$35,935). Notably, the Mocha DHT-PHEV, which has just hit the market in early March, will not be affected by the price rise.

WEY is not the only sub-brand under Great Wall Motor that has its prices adjusted this year. ORA also saw the price of its Good Cat model rise twice, from RMB6,000 to RMB12,000 ($942-$1,885).

Additionally, WEY is becoming more and more popular among consumers. The brand sold 4,755 vehicles in March, up 7.3% from February. For the first three months of 2022, the accumulative sales volume of WEY amounted to 14,285 vehicles, increasing 22.34% year over year.
