JAC Group reduces standard coal consumption by 389.17 tons in 2021

Beijing (ZXZC)- On April 1st, China’s major traditional automaker JAC Group released its CSRP (Corporate Social Responsibility Report), showing the results of its active transformation into an intelligent and green auto conglomerate with a global vision in 2021.

In the past year, JAC Group collected 31 energy-saving management proposals, promoted 44 projects to save energy while cutting down emissions. In 2021, JAC Group reduced its standard coal consumption by 389.17 tons and saved RMB2.33 million in cost. 

According to the report, JAC Group continued to invest in R&D, allocating a fixed 3%-5% portion of its revenue to technology improvements. By the end of 2021, JAC Group’s authorized patent volume summed up to 15,512 cases, covering the intelligent V2X, energy-saving, new energy fields. 

In 2021, JAC Group and Volkswagen’s jointly owned R&D center was officially put to use. The group’s cooperation with NIO also saw prominent results, with a total of 93,000 vehicles delivered in the year. The partners furthered their relationship by setting up a new joint venture, namely Jianglai Advanced Manufacturing Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. Additionally, JAC Group also formed partnerships with multiple hi-tech companies, including HUAWEI, Horizon Robotics, and iFLYTEK.

Moreover, in the past year, JAC Group successfully exported 73,500 vehicles, doubling year over year. By the end of 2021, the group has exported an accumulative 800,000 vehicles in total.
