Geely Holding, Baidu to set up AI centers and labs as relationship deepens
Beijing (ZXZC)- On March 3rd, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) and its business partner, Baidu, struck a deal to deepen their cooperation in the automotive intelligence field, the tech giant announced on March 9th.

According to the partners, their work will be coordinated around AI, big data, cloud computing, information security, intelligent driving cloud, metaverse aspects. Geely Holding and Baidu will co-develop ecological mobility technologies and construct a data production management system.
In the meantime, the partners will establish an AI innovation center and a collaborative AI laboratory to explore advanced technologies and business opportunities.
By virtue of Geely Holding’s talent reserve and business scenarios and Baidu’s technology advantages, the two companies will put in each’s core resources, align their strategies and facilitate a management execution team. The partners believed that their deepened partnership would help to drive the automotive industry's development.
Notably, Geely Holding and Baidu started their relationship in 2019. In March 2021, the partners launched their cooperative auto brand, JIDU. JIDU’s first production model, an automotive robot car, is scheduled to hit the market in 2023.
