Beijing (ZXZC)- XPeng.Inc announced today that the respected robotics specialist, former Peitian Group CTO, officially joined the AI robotics arm of XPeng, Pengxing Intelligence.

According to the company, Dr. Xu will guide the Pengxing team in the management, technique system, and product R&D aspects, to secure a place in the intelligent robotics field.  

The public record showed that Xu Zhigen received his Ph.D. in electronic science and technology from Tsinghua University and his master's and bachelor's degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology's gifted youth class.

Dr. Xu holds two national patents and two provincial technology awards in China. He was a part of multiple national high-tech projects and led several robotics associations in Guangdong Province.

Dr. Xu is well established as a renowned specialist with over twenty years of expertise in electronics, computer, and communication fields and over ten years in robotics.

During his years in Peitian Group, he has led his team to participate in formulating over 30 national robotics criteria.

Dr. Xu was also once an employee at HUAWEI, a Research Scientist at Siemens Corporate Technology China (CT China), a Senior Specialist and Architect at Ericsson China.
