As for new products, JAC Group launched the Sihao QX, a new SUV model equipped with the Journey 2 chip developed by the AI chip provider Horizon Robotics, onto the market at the end of June. According to the company, the new model is capable of rapid upgrade and iteration of smart scenarios based on consumers’ preferences thanks to the multimodal interaction functions combining vision with voice features.

At the Auto Shanghai 2021, JAC Group and Horizon Robotics entered into a strategic agreement for the in-depth cooperation on auto-related intelligent driving, smart connectivity, and AI technologies. On July 29, both parties cemented their tie-up for the volume production of China’s self-developed highly automated premium vehicle models based on Horizon Robotics' Journey 5 chip.
