Changan Automobile’s second model of ‘UNI” car series to hit market in late March
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The Changan UNI-K, the mass-produced version of the Vision-V concept unveiled at the Auto China 2020, will hit the market on March 23, according to a local media outlet.
It is the second mass-produced model of Changan Automobile's premium car sequence “UNI”, which is also called “Yinli” (引力) in Chinese, meaning “Gravity” in English. Coming with four variants, the UNI-K is priced between 157,900 yuan ($24,315) and 188,900 yuan ($29,090) in presale.

The UNI-K inherits the “borderless” design language of the “UNI” lineup, rendering quite an avant-garde front look. The grille at the front uses an array of hexagonal graphics decoration, whose relation to the grille of the Vision-V concept is very apparent.
The shape of the headlights also stays true to that of the Vision-V concept. The slender, sharp-angled headlight cluster looks rather unmistakable. Moreover, the fog lamps shaped like three-pointed star on both sides of the front bumper display a striking resemblance to the Vision-V concept as well.

The clean simple side profile coupled with 21-inch wheel hubs accentuates the sports essence. The “hidden” rear door handles are designed to lower the drag coefficient.
At the rear, a light strip runs across the width of the vehicle. It is said that the shape of rear spoiler and high-mount stop lamps are inspired by interstellar spacecraft.

As for the interior, the three connected liquid crystal displays are able to show information about tire pressure, navigation, speed, multimedia, gear and etc. Besides, the 12.3-inch console-mounted display adopts Corning Gorilla cold-bent glass with anti-reflective and anti-scratch coating, and supports gesture control and OTA (over-the-air) upgrade.
Under the hood, the UNI-K carries a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from Changan's Blue Whale NE engine series, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
