Dongfeng Motor’s four business branches unveil development target for 2021

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Four branches under Dongfeng Motor Corporation, namely Dongfeng Fengshen, Dongfeng Trucks, Dongfeng's light truck business and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's Chenglong, recently announced their near-term development goal.

For the 14th five-year plan period, Dongfeng Fengshen intends to roll out 8 all-new models, including 6 fuel-burning and 2 new energy vehicle (NEV) models. In 2021, it will launch the X37b equipped with the “Fengchi” power solution and the all-new flagship sedan Yixuan MAX.

Focusing on such fields as logistics transportation, engineering dumping and parcel delivery, Dongfeng Trucks plans to roll out several intelligent-connected heavy-duty truck models like the 2021 Dongfeng Tianlong KX, and the vehicle models paired with automatic manual transmission.

Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (DFAC), the subsidiary responsible for Dongfeng's light vehicle business, eyes an annual sales volume of 300,000 units in 2025, striving to become the No.2 light vehicle manufacturer in China.

For the year of 2021, DFAC is ambitious to achieve the sales target of 200,000 units, a year-on-year growth of 16.3%.

Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's Chenglong brand will strive for the full-year sales goal of 100,000 vehicles next year. In 2021, it intends to fully upgrade its heavy-duty and medium-duty truck platforms and make inroads in the intelligent driving and IoV (Internet of Vehicles) fields for logistics business.

Dongfeng Motor Corporation stated in early 2020 it endeavored to gain over 40 billion yuan ($6.113 billion) in both profit and operation cash flow, and sell 3.75 million new vehicles this year.
