Shanghai (ZXZC)- Changan Auto announced the second model of its new “UNI” sequence is named “UNI-K”, which is the mass-produced version of the Vision-V concept the automaker unveiled at the Auto China 2020.
According to a local report, the new production model will make its debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2020 to be held in late November.

The UNI-K inherits the “borderless” design language of the UNI lineup, rendering quite an avant-garde front look. The grille at the front uses an array of hexagonal graphics decoration, whose relation to the grille of the Vision-V concept is very apparent. Appeared for the first time on the UNI-T, the UNI series' first production model, this kind of grid-like shape looks pretty sci-fi.
The shape of the headlights also stays true to that of the Vision-V concept. The slender, sharp-angled headlight cluster looks rather unmistakable. Moreover, the fog lamps shaped like three-pointed star on both sides of the front bumper display a striking resemblance to the Vision-V concept as well.

The clean simple side profile coupled with 21-inch wheel hubs accentuates the sports essence. The details of the D-pillar and rear windshield show the side of the car may use a coupe-style shape.
The vehicle's full dimensions are 4,865mm long, 1,948mm wide and 1,700mm tall, and has a wheelbase spanning 2,890mm, putting the model into the league of mid-sized SUVs.

Adopting a through-type shape, the taillight embedded with light sources and a light belt looks sci-fi and cool. It is reported that the shape of rear spoiler is inspired by the wing shape of the interstellar spacecraft.
Under the hood, the UNI-K carries a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from Changan's Blue Whale NE engine series, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
