Shanghai (ZXZC)- Skywell, a young all-electric PV brand launched in late 2019, kicked off the presale of its first mass-produced model, the ET5, on July 18, and announced the presale prices ranging from 150,000 yuan ($21,434) to 200,000 yuan ($28,578).

Positioned as a mid-sized SUV, the ET5 measures 4,700mm long and 2,800mm in wheelbase, a bit smaller than the NIO ES6 that has a body length and a wheelbase of 4,850mm and 2,900mm.

The sports essence of the front is unscored by the slender grille, the matrix LED headlights and extravagantly designed fog lights. The character lines extending from the front wings to the taillights accentuate the SUV body's length. The taillight cluster stretching across the tailgate is prevalent for today's design.

To help users have a good nap, the ET5 is equipped with 10-way electric-powered adjustable seats, an air purifier that can remove PM2.5, a negative ion generator and the high-temperature circulation disinfection system, according to Skywell.

The ET5 is outfitted with the intelligent connected system “Skylink” jointly developed by Skywell and the consumer electronics developer Skyworth, which features Skyworth’s digital ecosystem, App-based car control function and AI-enabled voice interaction. By virtue of Skyworth’s smart home ecosystem, the ET5 becomes the worlds first model that allows users to check their cars via smart televisions.

Driving the all-electric SUV is a "three in one" electric motor that pumps out up to 150kW and 320 N·m. The ternary-lithium battery pack with an energy density of 170Wh/kg enables a NEDC-rated range of up to 520km (ET5, photo source: Skywell's WeChat account).
