Shanghai (ZXZC)- BYD, the Chinese new energy vehicle giant, has made a significant stride in Sri Lanka with the grand opening of its first store and after-sales service center in Colombo. Marking the occasion, BYD also introduced there the BYD SEALION 6 PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) model.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, delivered a speech emphasizing the company's commitment to promoting green transportation globally. "We are delighted to establish our first store in Sri Lanka and to launch the BYD SEALION 6, a brand-new model that represents a critical step in supporting the local development of green transportation," Liu stated. He further expressed that BYD is dedicated to bringing the latest products and technologies to Sri Lanka, providing local consumers with more eco-friendly travel options, and hopes that green transportation will become a new hallmark of Sri Lanka on the international stage.

The BYD SEALION 6, the first PHEV launched by BYD in Sri Lanka, is the fourth model introduced to the market, following the BYD DOLPHIN, BYD SEAL, and BYD ATTO 3. This addition enriches the local market's selection of new energy vehicles, offering consumers a versatile, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The newly opened store is located in the heart of Colombo and serves as a modern space for brand display, product experience, sales, and vehicle delivery. The after-sales service center is equipped with advanced tools and equipment necessary for maintaining and servicing new energy vehicles. It also boasts a team of after-sales professionals certified by BYD headquarters, ensuring that customers receive efficient and convenient service post-purchase.
