Building on a shared vision for the future of the automotive industry, ZF aims to deepen its strategic presence in the region. The company is committed to upgrading its brake product line to offer advanced active safety products to customers across Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Since its initial investment in Wuhan in 2011, ZF has expanded its operations over the past 13 years, making its Wuhan plant one of the key production bases for brake systems and vacuum boosters in the Asia-Pacific region.

The newly launched brake product line upgrade project is managed by ZF's Chassis Systems Solutions Division. In the coming years, the Wuhan plant will increase its production capacity for electronic parking brake (EPB) calipers and develop new products such as electromechanical brake (EMB) calipers. Once fully operational, the annual production capacity for EPB calipers is expected to see a significant boost.

Over the next five years, as supporting projects at the Wuhan plant come online, ZF anticipates further growth in sales revenue. The company is focused on diversifying its customer base, particularly in supplying brake systems for new energy vehicles (NEVs), thereby increasing the Wuhan plant's share in the NEV market. Additionally, ZF is advancing the digital transformation of its factory, including automation and intelligent upgrades in production lines and logistics. These efforts aim to enhance production efficiency and quality control, ensuring that ZF continues to provide advanced active safety products and services to customers in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
