GWM’s Tank 700 overseas edition official images unveiled

Recently, the official images of the Tank 700 overseas version were released. Both the gasoline-powered (3.0T V6 engine) and plug-in hybrid (3.0T V6 Hi4-T) variants will be offered in the overseas market, and are expected to debut at the end of October. For reference, the Tank 700 currently does not provide a gasoline-powered variant in the Chinese market. The price range of the Tank 700 Hi4-T (see spec here) sold in China is 428,000 – 700,000 yuan (61,000 – 100,000 USD).

Furthermore, the Tank 700 overseas edition will be offered in Premium, Superior, and Edition One trims. The Premium and Superior trims are equipped with a 3.0T V6 engine with a maximum power of 354 hp and a peak torque of 560 Nm, mated to a 9AT. Front and rear axle differential locks as well as electric side steps are also present.

For the size, including the external spare tire, the length, width, and height of the car are 5090/2061/1952 mm, respectively; the wheelbase is 3000 mm, and the minimum ground clearance is 249 mm. The Premium trim may start at 654,900 yuan (93,300 USD) and the Superior trim may start at 706,500 yuan (100,700 USD).

The appearance of the Premium and Superior trims is the same as the Tank 700 Hi4-T on the Chinese market.

The Edition One trim will be powered by a 3.0T V6 engine, with a total output of 422 hp and 517 Nm, coupled with a 37.1 kWh battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 100 km. The Edition One is 20 mm longer, 61 mm wider, and 34 mm taller than the other two trims. It runs on 22-inch rims. As the high-end trim, the Edition One may start at 875,700 yuan (125,000 USD).

Additionally, the appearance of the Edition One is closer to that of the Tank 700 Limited Edition on the Chinese market.

Premium and Superior trims’ interior

Inside, the cockpit comes standard with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 16.2-inch central control touch screen, a HUD head-up display, and heated/massage seats.

Edition One’s interior

The Edition One trim adds a “starry sky” panoramic sunroof.

In August, the Tank 700 Hi4-T sold 1,198 units in China, a month-on-month decrease of 14.4%. From January to August 2024, the cumulative sales volume of the Tank 700 Hi4-T was 10,271 units.
