Human Horizons presents Smart City project in Shanghai
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Human Horizons demonstrated 5G-based vehicle-road-city integrated Smart City system in Shanghai Zhangjiang on December 19. As early as January this year, the mobility technology company kicked off trial operation of the Smart Road project in Yancheng and six months later launched the Smart Vehicle, all-electric premium brand HiPhi. With the demonstration of the Smart City, the Shanghai-headquartered enterprise has carried out its deployment of the Three Smart strategy.
The Smart City system is comprised of autonomous driving bus, smart road system and traffic management monitoring center, taking advantage of 5G, V2X technology, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
The sensors of the smart bus include 5 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars and 16 ultrasonic radars. On the roof, 2 satellite antennas are linked to the Beidou High-precision Positioning System. It boasts L4 autonomous driving and human-centric functions such as ultra-high speed 5G WiFi, face recognition, and auto-sensing. In addition, the intelligent vehicle can reach a range of 300km.
The Smart Road system can assist the self-driving and Internet-connected vehicles to be safe and improve their efficiency. For example, it will give warning if there is any vehicle or pedestrian in blind spots when buses are turning, and provide information about traffic light signal. The Smart City center is able to analyze the traffic data dependent on the cloud computing capability and then conduct cloud traffic scheduling and remote monitoring (photo source: Human Horizons).
