Haval’s three new F series models hit the market
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Haval, the mainstay SUV brand for Great Wall Motor, introduced the 2020 Haval F5, F7 and the performance version of the F7x to the market in Beijing on October 6.
The 2020 F5
The new Haval F5 retains the brand’s all-new design style, fashionable and youthful. Looking sharp, its front face features a dot-matrix intake grille and narrow headlights. Furthermore, it has added lava orange to its color options. At its plain center console area, a 9-inch console screen is loaded with the majority of the functions including the Tencent in-vehcile WeChat system.
It carries a 1.5T turbo-charged engine with a maximum power of 169hp (124kw) and peak torque of 285 N·m, paired with 7-speed wet DCT (dual-clutch transmission).

Similar to the 2019 F7, the 2020 new model boasts masculine body line and hexagonal grille at the front face. It will be coated with two more kinds of warm colors. Besides, a modern cabin design makes the vehicle much sportier, together with three-spoke flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel. The vehicle is also installed with a full liquid crystal instrument, large-sized center console LCD and vents stretching across the console.
One highlight is its L2 driver assistance systems helping realize automated car following and braking. The new one is still outfitted with a 1.5T engine or a 2.0T one that pumps out up to 197hp and whose torque peaks 345 N·m, matched with 7-speed DCT.
The performance version of the F7x
The spotlight of the new F7x’s exterior lies in its gray color scheme with matt chrome-plated trims and the grille in gray. The model is equipped with such intelligent technology amenities as speech recognition, remote control, traffic jam assist (TJA) and intelligent cruise assist (ICA.)
The SUV is powered by a 2.0T direct injection engine with 7-speed DCT, boasting a torque peak of 450 N·m. It can also sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds. In addition, the new vehicle features readjusted exhaust sound waves and ejection start (photo source: Haval).
