Johannes Roscheck named as new President of Audi China
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On January 15, Audi announced a key change in its top leadership for the Chinese market. Starting April 1, 2024, Johannes Roscheck will assume the role of President of Audi China, taking over the reins from Jürgen Unser, who has skillfully overseen Audi's operations in the world's largest auto market.

Johannes Roscheck, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Controlling & Finance at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt, will bring a wealth of experience to his new role. Having led Audi operations in Brazil as CEO from 2017 to 2022, he has held various management positions within the Volkswagen Group across Hungary, the United States, and Germany. With a background in mechanical engineering and a PhD in economics, Roscheck boasts over 25 years of experience in finance and production within the automotive sector.

Jürgen Unser, who has skillfully managed Audi's activities in China since January 2022, leaves a lasting legacy in the electrification strategy's advancement. Under his leadership, plans for the new production site of Audi FAW NEV Co. have been implemented, set to produce all-electric vehicles for the Chinese market by the end of 2024. Other notable milestones achieved during Unser's tenure include the expansion of joint-venture partnerships and the establishment of an Audi-branded charging infrastructure in China.
As per the initial plan, Jürgen Unser is returning to Germany after two years in Beijing, preparing for new responsibilities within the Volkswagen Group.
