Cadillac CT5 presale price starts at RMB 280,000

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Recently, the presale of the China-made Cadillac CT5 began with the price between 280,000-340,000 yuan ($39,261-$47,674), according to Cadillac China. It also said the midsize luxury sedan with two trim levels will hit the market on Oct. 20 with two trim levels.

As to the exterior, the CT5 adopts the typical Cadillac family’s design style. The flat shield-shaped front grille seems to be coated in black. Meanwhile, it gets vertical LED lighting, similar to that of the CT6. But its front face has more sport features than CT6.            

The CT5’s the straight waist line extends from the headlight rim into the taillight. Besides, the fastback-style design looks quite sporty. At the rear, the right-angled LED taillights are embedded.

The interior gets the iconic design style. It is in black but equipped with bright sliver trims, simple but luxurious. In addition, the new vehicle boasts 10-inch high definition touchscreen display.      

The front seats are 12-way adjustable ones with heating, ventilation and massage functions. It is also equipped with wireless charging, Bose sound system and other high-end facilities. Furthermore, the CT5 also has abundant advanced features such as HUD (Head-Up Display) and automated parking system. There are also two rim options to choose from, 18-inch and 19-inch.        

The CT5 measures 4,924mm long, 1,883mm wide and 1,453mm/1,445mm high with a wheelbase that spans 2,947mm. In terms of powertrain, the CT5 carries a 2.0T in-line four-cylinder engine that pumps out up to 241hp and torque peaks 350N.m, meeting China-Ⅵ emission standard. As to the transmission system, it is matched by 10-speed AMT one.

In the future, the CT5 will offer MRC (magnitc ride control), mLSD (mechanical limited slip differential), ESE (engine sound enhancement) system, and Brembo brake system dependent on the specifications. There will be three standard driving modes of “sport, comfort and slip-resistance” and a customized one.
