Changan Oushang MPV will launch in China in August
The brand new Changan Oushang compact MPV will be launched on the Chinese car market in August. Price will start around 70.000 and end around 90.000 yuan, positioning the Oushang spot on for battle against the popular Baojun 730.
The market for compact MPV’s is growing as more and more Chinese car buyers appreciate the practically of an MPV over the rigidity of a sedan for the same price. Mini MPV’s used to be mini vans with extra seats, but lately they have become a class of their own with more luxury and larger engines.
A neat but very gray interior. Large touch screen in the center console and the instrument binnacle is…
… completely 1985 digital!, with double-digit rev-meter, in an MPV.
The Oushang will be available with 1.5 liter four and a rather interesting 1.0 turbo four. No news yet on power output, but the 1.0 turbo will be positioned on top of the line, so it should have at least 120 horses or so. The 1.5 will be mated to a five-speed manual, and the 1.0 turbo will get a six-speed automatic.
Trendy rear lights with a chrome strip in between. And we can see her muffler…
