Shanghai (ZXZC)- The Standard Range version of BYD's all-new Yuan EV 360 hit the market on July 27. Two trim levels of the new BEV model are priced at RMB105,800 and RMB109,800 after subsidy respectively.

Adopting BYD's signature “Dragon Face” design language, the Standard Range displays a striking resemblance to the 2019 Yuan EV360, which went on sales in March this year. Immediately above the closed-off grille is a chrome trim that stretches across the entire front face.

What’s new: most noticeable of the Standard Range's changes are its panoramic sunroof and LED headlights, which save more energy than that of halogen headlamps for the existing model.

The new model measures 4,360mm long, 1,785mm wide and 1,680mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,535mm.

The two-tone coating coupled with multi-spoke rims renders a younger and sportier side profile. On the tailgate, the typical spare tire still exists, while side-opening design is available for trunk.

The two-tone interior is in tune with the body color. The Standard Range offers better comfort with leather-wrapped seats and retractable rear view mirrors. Drivers will also find a full liquid crystal instrument panel and a 10.1-inch rotatable display at the center console.

A permanent magnet synchronous motor mobilizes 70kW of system power and generates 180 N·m of peak torque. Besides, a ternary-lithium battery pack with a capacity of 40.62kWh enables a NEDC-rated range of 305km. The Yuan EV 360 Standard Range can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in 30 minutes, BYD said.
