On September 24, DENZA officially declared that the 100,000th DENZA D9 had rolled off the assembly line. It took the automaker just 11 months to reach this milestone, solidifying DENZA D9's position as the fastest-produced luxury new energy vehicle model to reach the 100,000-unit production mark, said the automaker.
The DENZA D9 is the first model introduced after DENZA's brand renewal. Positioned as a mid-to-large high-end new energy MPV, it hit the market in August 2022 and began deliveries on October 26. Currently, there are ten different trim levels available, with prices ranging from 33,580 yuan to 660,000 yuan, offering consumers a choice between plug-in hybrid electric and all-electric versions.
The plug-in hybrid version features the DM-i Super Hybrid technology, offering a fuel consumption of 5.9L/100km and a range of up to 190km on battery power alone, and achieving a combined range of 1,040km. On the other hand, the all-electric version is built on the e-platform 3.0 and can reach a maximum range of 620km under the CLTC test cycle.
While the DENZA D9 continues to enjoy great popularity, DENZA has expanded its product range by putting the DENZA N7 SUV and the DENZA N8 SUV onto the market in the second half of this year. This expansion has positioned DENZA as a prominent player in various segments, including MPV and SUV.
DENZA has not only made an impact in the Chinese luxury new energy vehicle market but has also actively pursued an international strategy. This year, the DENZA D9 has made appearances at the Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand and the IAA Mobility in Germany, with plans to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show opening later this month.
