Shanghai (ZXZC)- On September 25, 2023, Great Wall Motor put the TANK 400 Hi4-T off-road SUV onto the market, introducing two trim levels with prices ranging from 279,800 yuan to 289,800 yuan.

In terms of dimensions, the TANK 400 Hi4-T measures 4,985mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,900mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. It features an approach angle of 33°, a departure angle of 30°, a minimum ground clearance of 224mm, and a wading depth of 800mm. The car is equipped with a roof rack and rivet-styled accents at its wheel eyebrows, emphasizing its adventurous character.

The rear of the vehicle continues the rugged styling, with a large TANK emblem on the spare tire mount. The taillights feature an inward-curving design, providing a more compact visual effect. The cargo space offers 566 liters of capacity and can be expanded to 1,803 liters with the rear seats folded. The car also comes with electric side steps and a power tailgate.

Inside, the TANK 400 Hi4-T follows the current mainstream rugged and masculine interior design. The circular air vents, the large-sized floating infotainment screen, and the heads-up display contribute to its high-tech ambiance. The interior also incorporates elements with a rivet-style design in various details.

The model features a 12.3-inch liquid crystal instrument cluster, a 16.2-inch central touchscreen, a heads-up display, and a streaming rearview mirror. It retains physical buttons below the central screen for everyday convenience. The front seats offer dual 50kW super-fast charging capabilities and are upholstered in Nappa leather, equipped with ventilation and heating functions.

Powering the TANK 400 Hi4-T is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 9-speed hybrid transmission. The 2.0-liter engine delivers a maximum net power of 180 kW and a peak torque of 380 N·m. The 9HAT hybrid-dedicated transmission integrates a high-voltage 120 kW P2 motor, resulting in a combined system power of 300 kW and a combined torque output of 750 N·m.

The model is equipped with a 37.1 kWh battery, providing over 105 km of WLTC-rated range on battery power alone. Its combined range reaches 800 km. Additionally, it supports 50 kW fast charging, allowing a 30%-80% charge in just 24 minutes. The car also features a 3.3 kW V2L (vehicle-to-load) function and comes with an L2-level advanced driver-assistance system.

The TANK 400 Hi4-T is equipped with a new-generation intelligent four-wheel-drive system with Mlock mechanical locking function, enabling shifts among four drive modes: two-wheel drive (2H), intelligent four-wheel drive (AWD), high-speed four-wheel drive (4H), and low-speed four-wheel drive (4L). This versatility allows for seamless transitions between different driving scenarios, meeting the demands of extreme off-road conditions.
