2024 XPeng G9 SUV hits market, starting at 262,900 yuan
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese intelligent electric vehicle maker XPeng officially put its 2024 G9 pure electric SUV onto the market on September 20, offering five different variants at prices ranging from 262,900 yuan to 309,900 yuan.
At the launch ceremony, XPeng's founder He Xiaopeng announced that the G9 will commence deliveries in October this year in countries such as Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, with plans to enter the German market in 2024.

The 2024 G9 lineup comes standard with the XNGP all-scenario intelligent driving cockpit and a full-range 800V silicon carbide architecture. Furthermore, XPeng revealed that by the end of 2023, the XPeng City NGP intelligent driving features will expand to 50 cities, with Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Foshan being the initial locations.
The 2024 G9 will also introduce the brand-new AI assistant, "Xiao P," supporting continuous conversations, rear-seat interaction, real-time online features, and more. Additionally, the vehicle boasts an intelligent multi-scenario cockpit with over 350 customizable capabilities, catering to a wide range of travel scenarios.

As a refreshed model, the 2024 G9 retains XPeng's familiar design language with the X-BOT FACE 3.0 styling and a closed grille paired with split-type headlights. In addition to the existing "Starfall Grey," "Starry Cloud White," and "New Moon Silver" color options, two new choices, "Midnight Black" and "High Gloss Interstellar Green," have been added for customers to choose from.
Inside, the new G9 continues to feature a wrap-around cockpit design with eco-friendly Nappa leather seats, boasting noise levels as low as 53.9 decibels at speeds of 60 km/h. Moreover, the 2024 G9 comes standard with the proprietary "Xopera 2.0 XPeng Music Hall" sound system, equipped with 21 speakers and spatial audio capabilities.

The model is equipped with a high-definition intelligent dual-screen setup, eliminating the piano lacquer finish at the lower section to reduce fingerprint and dust accumulation. The wireless charging panel inside has been upgraded from a single 50W to dual 50W air-cooled fast charging sections, capable of simultaneously charging two smartphones rapidly.
In terms of intelligent driving, the 2024 G9 is equipped with up to 31 perception elements and NVIDIA DRIVE Orin dual-chip configuration, providing a computing power of 508 TOPS. It supports functions like city and highway assisted driving, as well as memory parking (as optional equipment for some variants).

The 2024 G9 features 800V high-voltage silicon carbide electric drive technology, offering fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes. It comes in both rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. The four-wheel-drive version boasts a peak power of 405 kW and 717 N·m torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a chassis response time of 22 milliseconds. Additionally, the vehicle supports intelligent dual-chamber air suspension, providing six driving modes for users.
In terms of range, the rear-wheel-drive 570 Max/Pro trims are equipped with a 78.2 kWh battery pack, achieving a CLTC range of 570km, while the 702 Max/Pro variants feature a 98 kWh battery pack for a CLTC range of 702km. The four-wheel-drive 650Max offers a CLTC range of 650km.
