SGWM puts Wuling Xingyun hybrid SUV onto market

Shanghai (ZXZC)- On September 20, the Wuling Xingyun, a fire new hybrid electric SUV model launched by SAIC-GM-Wuling (“SGMW”) officially hit the market, introducing two distinct trim levels priced at 89,800 yuan and 105,800 yuan, respectively.

In terms of exterior design, the Wuling Xingyun adopts a split-type headlights. The upper daytime running lights feature a sleek, flat design, while the lower rectangular section seamlessly merges with the front grille, creating a captivating look. Within the grille, 171 star-like light spots draw inspiration from meteor showers, offering a range of dazzling lighting effects. Furthermore, the headlights come equipped with the mesmerizing "Starlit Melody" lighting show feature.

The rear of the vehicle, in contrast, presents a more concise appearance, featuring a flat, through-type taillight design. The Xingyun SUV offers four body color options. Positioned as a compact SUV, the vehicle measures 4,610mm in length, 1,810mm in width, 1,670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

Moving inside, the Xingyun offers two interior color schemes. The vehicle features a 7-inch full liquid crystal instrument cluster paired with a 10.25-inch floating central touchscreen. Beneath the central touchscreen, you'll find a row of touch-sensitive buttons and a 360-degree rotary gearshift system. Diamond-shaped elements have been cleverly incorporated into various areas such as the central console and door panels.

The SUV model will also come equipped with the Wuling Ling OS smart infotainment system.

In terms of power, the Xingyun will be equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0L engine and an electric motor. The electric motor delivers a maximum power output of 130kW and a peak torque of 320N·m. This powertrain is mated to an electromagnetic 1-speed DHT transmission. It is expected to achieve a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.5L/100km.
