Geely Emgrand’s all-new upgraded version fits China 6 Emission Standard
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The Emgrand is a hotter-selling sedan model owned by Geely Auto. An upgraded version that satisfies the China Stage 6 Emission Standard is to be launched on May 29.
The new version, dubbed “Lingjun” (means “leading” in English), will feature Geely’s all-new black logo. At the dynamic front face, LED headlights flank a waterfall-design grille, which is different from Geely’s typical “cosmos” grille. The sports essence is further accentuated by a slender trim that stretches across the part underneath the grille.
Internally, the overall styling remains unchanged while materials and configurators have been somewhat upgraded. For instance, the instrument panel is covered by soft slush material and the steering wheel also features all-new family design. Meanwhile, occupants will find such niceties as 8-inch liquid crystal display (LCD), full LCD instrument panel, leather-wrapped seats, tire pressure monitor system (TPMS), push-to-start/keyless entry system, front & rear parking radars as well as integrated HD event data recorder.
The upgraded Emgrand will be powered by Geely’s GKUI (Geely Smart Ecosystem) that supports Alibaba’s AutoNavi navigation, on-line music library, “Hello Emgrand” smart voice interaction system, Ximalaya Radio, and other innovative applications. It is noteworthy that consumers will enjoy free unlimited data for five years.
Power system details have not been exposed yet.
