Shanghai (ZXZC)- On May 25, the BYD Song Pro DM-i Champion edition officially hit the market. Priced between 135,800 and 159,800 yuan, this new model offers customers four trim levels to suit their preferences.

Powering the Song Pro DM-i Champion edition is the DM-i super hybrid system that contains a 1.5-liter engine, delivering a combined range of 1,090 kilometers.

In terms of exterior design, the new compact SUV maintains the overall aesthetic of its predecessor while incorporating subtle adjustments to the front details. The front grille features a striking hexagonal dot-matrix pattern, exuding a sense of dynamic energy. The upper section of the grille is adorned with robust chrome trim that seamlessly connects to the matrix-style LED headlights, ensuring excellent visibility when illuminated. The lower section boasts a chrome-accented lower grille.

Additionally, the BYD Song Pro DM-i Champion edition introduces a new exterior color option dubbed Far Mountain (“Yuanshan” in Chinese) Green.

Retaining the design language of the 2022 model, the side profile of the Champion edition showcases a robust body line. The wide wheel arches complemented with the larger-sized wheels further accentuates its athletic stance.

Stepping inside, the new vehicle features an exquisite cream-coloured interior. It carries an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel, which provides essential information to the driver, and a rotatable floating-style infotainment screen that measures 10.1 inches, 12.8 inches, and 15.6 inches for different trims.

The Song Pro DM-i Champion edition is equipped with the DiLink 4.0 infotainment system, which supports various functions including map navigation, app downloads, a 360° surround-view image system, OTA upgrades, and NFC.

Under the hood, the new model combines a 1.5L engine with an electric motor, harnessing the power of the BYD DM-i Super Hybrid technology. The engine delivers a power output of up to 81 kW, while the system's combined maximum power reaches 226 kW. Users are allowed to choose from two choices regarding the battery-only range—71km and 110km. In addition, the new product is available for the fast-charging mode.
