DENZA D9 to introduce new variant regarding range
Shanghai (ZXZC)- DENZA, the premium auto brand majority-backed by BYD, plans to introduce an additional variant for the D9 DM-i model with a range between 50km and 190km, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of DENZA’s sales division, revealed on May 21 via his personal Sina Weibo account.
This new variant will come with the same standard features as the existing trim with a 190km range on battery power alone, including the 80kW DC fast charging capability, 6kW power discharge function, and ventilated and heated front seats.
The automaker aims to start delivering this new variant in the third quarter of this year.

Mr. Zhao noted that so far, the model has gained over 70,000 users.
DENZA is expecting to receive over 13,000 new orders for the D9 this month, he added.
The two-wheel drive version of the DENZA D9 DM-i includes two trims, which are priced at 335,800 yuan and 375,800 yuan, respectively. It is equipped with lithium iron phosphate Blade Batteries with capacities of 11.06 kWh and 40.06 kWh, enabling an NEDC-rated battery-only range of 50km and 190km, accordingly.
According to public data, DENZA sold a total of 10,526 new vehicles in April, with cumulative sales reaching 44,491 vehicles.
