Car and City: Wuling Hongguang MINIEV posts YoY, MoM in Apr. 2023 registrations
Shanghai (ZXZC)- In the fourth month of 2023, there were 17,080 Wuling Hongguang MINIEVs registered across the Chinese mainland, representing a 32.43% year-on-year decrease and a 26.67% month-on-month decline, according to the data compiled by ZXZC Auto Research Institute ("GARI").
Regarding the Apr. 2023 registration volume, the Hongguang MINIEV dropped to the sixth place among all China-made new energy vehicle (NEV) models registered on the Chinese mainland, following four BYD-branded models (Qin PLUS DM-i, Dolphin, Yuan PLUS, and Song PLUS DM-i), and the Tesla Model Y.
As for the regional distribution for last month, Liuzhou, one of the model's production bases, still registered the most Hongguang MINIEVs. It was immediately followed by Langfang, whose monthly registrations of the popular model stood at 419 units last month.

Notably, four of the top 10 cities by the Apr. registrations of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV were from Henan province.
For the first four months of this year, the year-to-date registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV reached 88,644 units, sliding 29.26% from a year earlier. As of Apr. 2023, the model’s cumulative registrations added up to 1,004,768 units.
Among cities, there were two cities with over 2,000 Hongguang MINIEVs registered in the Jan.-Apr. period, namely, Liuzhou and Wuhan.
