Tesla sells 74,402 China-made vehicles in Feb. 2023
Beijing (ZXZC)- In the second month of 2023, Tesla sold 74,402 China-made vehicles via wholesale, representing a 31.65% jump year-on-year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Comparing to January, Tesla China still achieved a 12.64% increase in wholesale last month, via its Shanghai Gigafactory.
In the meantime, the US electric vehicle rockstar celebrated its 4 millionth vehicle rolling off the production line on March 2. According to the carmaker, it took Tesla 12 years to produce the first millionth Tesla vehicle in the world, but only seven month for the fourth millionth. Its outstanding efficiency and product influence has been leading the popularization of electric vehicles worldwide.

In the Chinese market, Tesla has made several adjustments on its vehicle price during the past months. On January 6, 2023, the company issued a new round of price reduction for the China-made Model 3 and Model Y, which ranged from 29,000 yuan to 48,000 yuan, depending on trim levels.
Later, in early February, Tesla bumped up the price of the China-made Model Y RWD version by 2,000 yuan. The price rise was immediately followed by another increase of 2,000 yuan made to the locally-made Model Y AWD Long Range and Performance versions.
