After the world's debut on April 8 last year, the all-new smart #1 has attracted numerous consumers around the world, said the automaker. From 2022 to 2024, smart plans to roll out a fire new model into the market per year to perfect its next-generation BEV product matrix.

As for the sales system construction, smart launched 150 offline direct-sale outlets in China in only half a year, which are located in 40 main cities.

Moreover, smart signed a deal in last Oct. with seven banks for a credit line worth more than 8 billion yuan ($1.164 billion), which will be used to help the carmaker further improve its production efficiency, shorten lead-time, and speed up product R&D and business network expansion.

With the dedication to exploring the optimal solutions for future urban transportation, the automaker set up smart Robot Technology Co., Ltd. in May in Shanghai to work on the in-house development of full-stack high-level intelligent driving software.
