Mercedes-Benz issues price cut up to 240,000 yuan on EQ series in China
Beijing (ZXZC)- Mercedes-Benz lowered the suggested retail price of multiple EQ battery-electric vehicle models in China on November 15 by as high as roughly 240,000 yuan ($28,250) deducted.

Specifically, the price of the three trims of the Mercedes-Benz EQE was lowered by 50,000 yuan to 50,700 yuan ($7,060-$7,160), resulting in an adjusted price range of 478,000 yuan to 534,300 yuan ($67,520-$75,470). Meanwhile, the price of the four models of the EQS was reduced by 204,600 yuan to 237,600 yuan ($28,900-$33,560), and the adjusted price was 845,000 yuan to 1.314 million yuan ($119,360-$185,600). Lastly, both models of the AMG EQS 53 saw a direct discount of 198,600 yuan ($28,050), amounting to a current price of 1.486 million yuan to 1.547 million yuan ($209,900-$218,520).
The price adjustments takes effect starting November 16, 2022. As to existing owners of the said vehicle models who made purchases prior to November 16, 2022, Mercedes-Benz proposed to offer designated subsidy plans based on their receipt value and the adjusted asking price.
According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, Mercedes-Benz sold 678 EQEs, 94 EQAs, and 133 EQBs in October in China, which is less than that of Chinese indigenous new energy vehicle brands and BMW.
