Beijing Mercedes-Benz to upgrade marketing, operating modes with three executive positions changed
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Company (BMBS) said on December 21 that it plans to upgrade its marketing and operation management mechanism and organizational structure to ensure the vitality and competency for the company in the fast-growing and quick-change automotive market.
It is reported that the upgrade of operating modes will motivate a flexible sales strategy and marketing approach with more adaptability in the future, so as to fit Chinese consumers’ expectation over its brand and products. Meanwhile, the automaker will endeavor to explore the application of big data to improve users’ loyalty and excavate potential clients. The pre-owned car business is going to be further developed as a new growth point for the company.
All innovative measures mentioned above will be conducted to serve BMBS's new vehicle sales business and be integrated into a uniform leadership platform.
It is noteworthy that some senior executive changes happen along with the business upgrade. Duan Jianjun, BMBS's current executive vice president, will assume the responsibility as the company's sales and marketing chief operating officer starting from January 1, 2019. He is about to take charge of the sales and marketing-related businesses, including the sales management, sales planning, logistics, regional operation over such brands as Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-AMG, Smart and EQ in China.
Moreover, Wu Chen, current executive vice president of Shenzhen DENZA New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd, will be transferred to BMBS as sales and marketing executive vice president, presiding over businesses of the online sales and data management and the sales and marketing of pre-owned cars, V-class models as well as Vito and Smart brands and directly reporting to Duan Jianjun. The appointment will be effective from January 1 next year.
The last one is Xu Xinzhe, current director of Mercedes-Benz Automobile Finance Co.,Ltd's strategy and development department, who will officially join BMBS as new marketing director on February 1, 2019 and directly report to Mr. Duan.
