Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO announced via its WeChat account its 300,000th mass-produced vehicle rolled off the production line on Dec. 12, only seven months after the birth of the 200,000th one.

NIO said the milestone was achieved amid the rapid development of China's premium smart electric vehicle (EV) industry. For the first eleven months of this year, NIO accounted for over 70% of China's total sales of high-end all-electric vehicles whose purchase price is above 400,000 yuan ($57,300) per car.

The achievement is also buoyed by NIO's efforts to strengthen its full-stack R&D capability. The three new models based on NIO's second-generation technology platform (NT2), namely, the ET7, the ES7, and ET5, were put into delivery this year. In the future, NIO will cement in-house R&D of batteries, chips, and other core technologies.

As for the global business expansion, NIO announced in Oct. at the NIO Berlin event that it would start offering services in four European countries of Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden, with delivery of the ET7 coming soon afterwards.

As of today, NIO has deployed a total of 395 NIO Houses and NIO Spaces worldwide. Its global power network has to-day encompassed 1,263 battery swap stations, 12,785 EV charging piles, as well as the access to over 998,000 third-party charging piles.
