FAW-VW Audi launches tailored premium taxi service in Xi’an

Shanghai(ZXZC)- Audi-owned mobility brand "Audi on demand +" has reportedly launched a tailored taxi service in Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province as part of an effort to further expand mobility businesses in China following Beijing and Sanya.

FAW-Volkswagen Audi teams up with Shouqi Limousine & Chauffeur, a leading brand in China's car hailing service industry, to provide users with luxury convenient travelling experience by jointly launching tailored premium car service.

The Audi A6L e-tron, a plug-in hybrid model that is specifically designed for Chinese market, will be deployed first for the fresh car-hailing service as Audi advocates a more efficient and environmentally friendly low-carbon lifestyle. The company wishes to extend such travelling mode into more cities in the world's largest auto market to satisfy Chinese consumers' ever-growing needs for a premium mobility solution. 

In the meantime, the operator has already opened an official WeChat account for the "Audi on demand +" and will have a WeChat mini program on line in the near future to facilitate users with car-hailing.

SAIC Motor formally launched its mobility brand known as "Xiangdao Chuxing" on December 18, saying it put the ride-hailing service into official operation from then on. Dongfeng Electric Vehicle Co.,Ltd has been granted a license in early December to operate ride-hailing service business by Wuhan Passenger Transport Taxi Management Office.

In addition, On December 14, BMW Group announced the launch of its ride-hailing service in Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan Province, as part of the businesses under the premium mobility brand ReachNow, making it become China's first global carmaker that operates a ride-hailing service.
