BYD Qin first SUV model spied on the road
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Among the Qin, Tang, Song and Yuan series under BYD, the Qin is the only one that currently hasn't SUV models. The spy shots of the BYD Qin's first SUV model were released in recent days. The new model may be positioned as a compact SUV and is likely to offer three power versions—the BEV, the DM and fuel-burning version.
Although the vehicle are heavily camouflaged, we can still observe that it retain BYD’s signature design language of “Dragon Face”, featuring a massive hexagonal intake grille coupled with sculptural LED headlights on both sides of the front face.
As to the side profile, a sharp waistline stretches from the hood to the rear end, making the vehicle look more dynamic. With a stocky shape, the rear end features a license plate frame in the exact middle of the taillights. Besides, the Qin SUV model adopts split-type taillights rather than the integrated taillight cluster for the BYD Tang and Song.
The interior still inherit BYD's family design. Simple but futuristic, the inner space still boasts a full liquid crystal instrument panel, a massive display at the center console and a multifunctional steering wheel with a logo of Chinese character "Qin" in the middle.
Under the hood of the fuel-burning version is a 1.5L turbocharged version that pumps out 113kW and 240 N·m of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed dual clutch transmission.
