Shanghai (ZXZC)- In an official announcement today, BYD, the global leader in new energy vehicle manufacturing, unveiled its new sub-brand, FANG CHENG BAO. As the fifth addition to BYD's diversified brand portfolio, FANG CHENG BAO aims to cater to the increasingly personalized demands of consumers with a range of unique, professional-grade electric vehicle models.

FANG CHENG BAO joins BYD's current brand line-up, which includes the Dynasty and Ocean series, Denza, and Yangwang. The new sub-brand will feature a range of models from off-road vehicles to sports cars. The first model to be released, a robust SUV codenamed SF, is expected for launch later this year.

The name FANG CHENG BAO, which translates from Chinese to "Formula" and "Leopard", represents the brand's pursuit of transformational growth and exploration of the digital realm. The brand encapsulates the principles of Formula and the agility of the Leopard, symbolizing BYD's vision of future automobiles and lifestyles.

Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD, shared his perspective on the global e-mobility transition, viewing it as more than just a shift from fossil fuels to electric vehicles. He said, "Many people think that the global e-mobility transition is a revolution in the automobile industry, where vehicles powered by fossil fuels get replaced by electric cars. However, from BYD, we believe this is only a minor part of the whole transition, and a greater realm is unfolding" He envisions FANG CHENG BAO as a precursor to this revolution, as it aims to pave the future of personalized car life with its range of new energy vehicle products.
