Shanghai (ZXZC)- The ATTO 3, an A-segment SUV riding on BYD's e-platform 3.0, went on sale in Singapore on July 8, marking the model's debut in one of the ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries.

The name of the model, ATTO, is inspired by "Attosecond",  the smallest time scale unit in physics, which means the ATTO 3 is speedy, energetic, and dynamic.

The ATTO 3 was originally the name designated to the BYD Yuan PLUS sold in Australia. As the first A-segment SUV standing atop BYD's BEV-dedicated e-platform 3.0, the BYD Yuan PLUS hit the market in China on February 19, and landed on the Australian market on the same day.

Coming with five trim levels, the BYD Yuan PLUS is priced from 137,800 yuan ($20,540) to 165,800 yuan ($24,710) in China. Featuring BYD’s Dragon Face 3.0 design language, the model measures 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide, and 1,615mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,720mm. All variants come standard with an 150kW electric motor and can zip from 0-100km/h within 7.3 seconds.

For the first half of 2022, BYD sold a total of 638,157 all-electric passenger vehicles, achieving a three-digit year-on-year spike of 324.84%. Thanks to the vigorous rising impetus achieved by the NEV unit, BYD saw its first-half 2022 auto sales surge 162.03% from a year ago to 646,399 units.
