WM Motor says Apr. 2022 deliveries jump 48.9% YoY
Shanghai (ZXZC)- WM Motor delivered 3,309 vehicles in April, achieving a robust year-on-year leap of 48.9%, according to the EV startup’s press release, quoting the registrations offered by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC).
However, due to the pandemic factor, the automaker's April deliveries fell 40% from the previous month.

Production at the smart manufacturing bases in both Wenzhou and Huanggang was disrupted by the pandemic resurgence. The startup said it had taken many steps to minimize the impact, such as carrying out online operation and marketing businesses, and spared no efforts to strive for every component its vehicles need to ensure smooth delivery.
WM Motor has such production models for sale as the EX5, the EX6, the W6, and the E.5. Of them, the E.5 hit the market in September 2021 to mainly serve business users. On April 15 this year, the 2022 E.5 hit the market with two trim levels offered, priced between 180,100 yuan ($26,530) and 190,100 yuan ($28,010) after subsidies. The refreshed version shifts the main user base to private users.
In October 2021, WM Motor unveiled its first all-electric sedan model, the M7, which will feature up to 32 sensors, including three LiDAR units, five millimeter-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic radars, seven 8-megapixel cameras, four surround-view cameras, and an independent high-precision positioning module. The model is expected for delivery this year.
