NIO completes building of 900 battery swapping stations in China
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On April 18, NIO announced the launch of its 900th battery swapping station in China, which is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing city, according to a post on NIO's WeChat account.
Of the battery swapping stations NIO has so far built, 237 are located along expressways. Besides, NIO users have already completed over 8 million battery swaps, said NIO.

As of today, NIO has also deployed 745 supercharging stations, 4,132 supercharging piles, 686 destination charging stations, as well as 3,897 destination charging piles across China, and had access to over 480,000 third-party charging pillars.
As of April 18, about 59.4% NIO users had lived in the “Swap Station District Houses”, which refer to the residence within a 3-km radium from a NIO battery swap station, up by 26.2 percentage points over the year-ago period.
Under the “NIO Power 2025” plan, the company expects 90% NIO users to be living less than 3 km away from its battery swap facilities in 2025.
According to the EV manufacturer, the ratio of NIO's vehicles to battery swapping stations reached 259 as of April 18, dropped 57.3% compared to the previous year.
The EV maker aims to fulfil the construction of more than 1,300 battery swapping stations, 6,000 supercharging piles, and 10,000 destination charging piles in China by the end of 2022.

NIO celebrated on Monday the one-year anniversary for the launch of the Power North plan. Under the plan, the startup newly built 23 battery swapping stations, 113 supercharging stations, and 61 destination charging stations in the eight provinces and autonomous regions in North China within one year ended April 18, 2022.
