Geely’s EV brand ZEEKR to lift price from May 1
Shanghai (ZXZC)- ZEEKR, a young premium electric car brand of Geely Auto, announced today it would raise the price of the ZEEKR 001 in the near future as it was also affected by the industry-wide issues like the raw materials price hike.

Nevertheless, the adjustment will come into effect from May instead of from then on. The concrete scheme about the changes of prices and user rights will be released before April 30, 2022.
Some industry insiders consider that the one-month grace period may prompt more consumers to purchase cars before the implementation of the price increase.
For the first quarter of 2022, ZEEKR delivered a total of 8,241 ZEEKR 001s. Due to the pandemic factor and the chip shortage, the brand's monthly deliveries fell to 1,795 units in March from 2,916 units in February. Nonetheless, the automaker said its production outputs and deliveries were expected to grow in April after a batch of core components was received at the end of March.
The ZEEKR 001 currently comes with three trim levels with a guidance price range from 281,000 yuan ($44,240) to 360,000 yuan ($56,680). The automaker noted the model is sold at a price above 335,000 yuan ($52,740) on average in actual transactions.
