Fooling the Police in China with fake License-plate Numbers
Chinese motorist hate to get a fine. Most fines are administered fully automatic when drivers are caught by speed and other traffic camera’s. Changing a license-plate therefore makes a lotta sense. Some drivers use toothpaste, others use sanitary napkins, and now something new has hit the market: fake license-plate-number stickers that can be placed over the original.
The stickers can be bought at car markets for as little as 5 yuan each. The standard traffic-fine in China is 200 yuan (32 USD). The penalty for using the stickers however is much higher: up to 15 days in jail, an 1800 yuan fine, and the driver’s driving license will be revoked. Police is on the watch. Still, for many it is worth a try…
6 became a 9.
As real as it can be.
Got ya’.
