According to a governmental plan, the Chengyu Hydrogen Corridor will encompass two inter-city lines and a direct trunk line. The inter-city lines surround the main line from Chengdu to Chongqing, radiating into the urban agglomerations of Chengdu-Deyang-Meishan-Ziyang, Southern Sichuan and Western Chongqing, as well as Northeastern Sichuan and Northeastern Chongqing, while the direct trunk line stretches along Cheng'anyu Expressway.

As of now, the Chengyu Hydrogen Corridor has basically taken shape with a total of 440 fuel cell vehicles and 15 hydrogen-filling stations deployed.

There will be 1,000 hydrogen-powered logistics vehicles to be put onto roads in Sichuan and Chongqing by 2025. Hydrogen-refueling bases will be built in cities or counties like Liangshan, Panzhihua, Ya'an, Tongnan, and Changshou as supporting facilities.

While the corridor being launched, several hydrogen logistics vehicles made their debuts in Chengdu's Quanyi and Yingdu districts, including 4.5-tone fuel cell refrigerator cars, 9-tone fuel cell logistics vehicles, and 49-tone fuel tractors. In Neijiang, Sichuan province, a number of fuel cell buses and heavy-duty trucks are put onto roads, signifying that the Western China's first route for demonstration of hydrogen heavy-duty trucks started operation.
