As for exterior, the yet-to-be-launched version looks basically the same as that of the existing P7. It still adopts a strip of LED lights that extend across the entire front of the vehicles. The split-type headlight cluster is located at a lower position. As to the side profile, the new vehicle carries concealed door handles to reduce air resistance and improve the sense of technology.

This new car carries the same dimensions as the existing one which measures 4,880mm long, 1,896mm wide and 1,450mm tall with a 2,998mm wheelbase. The rear also features the design of the split light group, which echoes the front of the car.
Compared to the exiting P7, the biggest change of the new version rests upon the powertrain. According to the MIIT, the new P7 carries two 196kW electric motors, which churn out a combined output of 392kW, versus the 316kW for the outgoing AWD model. Additionally, powering the new car is a lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by CATL.
As XPeng's second production model, the XPeng P7 hit the market in last April 2020. Coming with eight trim levels, the all-electric sports sedan is priced between 229,900 yuan ($35,500) and 349,900 yuan ($53,950). As of July 2021, cumulative P7 deliveries reached 40,612 units since the launch, according to the startup's latest monthly sales results.
