Shanghai (ZXZC)- Yanfeng Adient Seating Co., Ltd. (Yanfeng Adient), a leader in China's automotive seating industry, established a subsidiary, Yanfeng Adient (India) Co., Ltd. in India and obtained a business license for the new company on June 1. This subsidiary is Yanfeng Adient's another move of its overseas expansion.

Yanfeng Adient serves China's major auto manufacturers. The company covers the entire automotive seating industry chain, ranging from complete seats, metal framework and mechanical devices, foam, trim and headrest to flexible, economical and efficient top dressing solutions.

India boasts one of the world's fastest growing passenger vehicle markets. During 2016 and 2017, the country posted annual growth of over 9%. India is expected to become the world's third largest automobile market in 2020 with expected annual deliveries of 11,000,000 units, after China and the United States.

As a crucial parts subsidiary and also a core strategic parts supplier of SAIC Group, Yanfeng Adient's expansion in India is an important part of SIAC Group's overseas expansion strategy. The newly-built India subsidiary is slated to provide seats for SAIC Group's MG-branded models and is expected to be put into operation next year.
